I don't know about other children in that age range, but my (she'll be five on January 16) little girls loves super heroes and she LOVES any song that alludes in any small way to Superman or Spiderman ["Hero" Chad Kroeger and Josie Scott is another favorite of hers] (or whomever.)

The first time I saw/heard John Mayer was with his "superman" song, and I thought two things: 1)Dave Matthews copy-cat (his voice is similar), and 2)3 Doors Down-"Superman"...???
